Military should stay out of politics. We have RRS ships for a reason - this is THEIR job. Climate change should be the absolute least of a military's concern. Losing a battle but being able to boast a slightly lower carbon footprint? Utterly embarrassing and cringeworthy virtue signalling.

Totally understand that we need to reduce our carbon emissions through out the world as a matter of urgency.
When you have 90% of the world's commercial goods being carried by massive ships that are producing a massive footprint what's the answer.
Commercial aircraft, HGVs etc.
I have just bought a EV and I am driving it. I am doing my bit. I don't think the general population don't realise how serious this is. Good work general keep it up please
