Have mine undervolted on the cpu in command centre as far as it goes. Temps stay the same but you do get an extra 200Mhz or so on the CPU under full load!

I don't know if I can buy alienware anymore. Might switch into the xflow 14. The alienware egpu with the extra ports and using an external GPu to preserve the internal gpu makes the laptop last. I don't know I think can get anymore alienware after they abandoned the egpu

hey, been a long time viewer of your channel & i really enjoy the quality content, i wanted to ask you if you ever had any hardware issues with your gaming laptops & how was the process of rma'ing. because im currently on my 6th rma with asus for my strix g15 (3070+5900hx) and they keep sending me back the laptop with the same issues (videos on my channel of the defects & issues), i really don't know what to do at this point. hope u get a chance to read my comment.

I’m bummed out there’s not a 1440p 240hz display option and they took out the rgb trackpad from the r1. I’m looking forward to the r3 model in 2023, I’m really hoping it comes with a 4080 mobile gpu and they bring back the rpg trackpad.

Performance is amazing as Alienware let it run balls to the wall and have a decent thermal system to deal with that. So many Alder Lake laptops have crazy low power limits but not Alienware! I am wondering how the X17R3 will do with the HX processors.
Regardless, I just can't use one man, I can't cope with the lack of secondary key lighting.. Adding further insult to injury is that the crappy G15 still has full lighting LOL.
It took time, but I managed to get my head around the lack of a number pad (I only use it for pro tools and at the end of the day, so if the laptop is in the studio I can just attach a num pad), but using the laptop in low light environments about 95% of the time, the lack of secondary lighting is an absolute and utter deal breaker. I don't understand it and they've even removed it in the M17 which doesn't have the mech KB option.. So I am at a loss.
