I was incredibly lucky to get my hands on a 2022 Yamaha Tenere 700. Despite some crappy recent weather, you just know I had to get out on a Tenere 700 first ride and make a video for all of you with my first impressions of the Yamaha Tenere 700 both on and off the road. On this ride, I got the Tenere 700 off road in a bunch of different conditions including gravel roads, mud, puddles, snow, and even some wet pavement. Unsurprisingly, the Yamaha T7 is an amazingly fun bike to ride and I had a blast with it. It's an incredibly confidence inspiring adventure motorcycle. The Tenere 700 feels incredibly planted, playful, and capable. Whether you're riding the Yamaha T7 on or off the road, you're going to have a blast.

This Yamaha Tenere 700 first impressions video is just the first in what I hope will be an extensive series of Yamaha Tenere 700 vs Husqvarna Norden 901 videos to come. Make sure you're subscribed so you can check out all the awesome comparison content on the horizon.

You can't argue with the T7. I should have kept mine so I have something to ride when my Norden is in the shop, like it is now. :)

Thanks Ben - looking forward to the Norden/T7 comparisons to come. Maybe I should get in line for the 2023 T7 - by the time it would become available, I might have saved up enough!

Pretty sure i want one. Wow! That's saying something. That it feels more like a dual sport than the KLR. Damn you Dork! I'm gonna need one 😡

Almost there, Yamaha. I'm happy with my 1050 V-Strom.

Dork… I appreciate your love for MotoCamping… I own a Harley, so my off road capabilities are limited. But, as our friend Amanda would say. “Get out and do the ‘Thing!” So I manage. I have fun and I learn something new every time I go… this Summer I need to go! Thanks again Dork!

It’s interesting that the rider aids seem to be a key differentiator for you. The rider aids on my Norden work well however even if they were missing I still would’ve chosen the Norden. After riding my buddy’s T7 the biggest differences to me are suspension, brakes, power, center of gravity, comfort. These fundamentals are a step ahead of the T7. AND the Norden has cruise control! 😁

Hey Dork I have a Harley V-Rod and a motocross dirt bike. I bought a DRZ last year because of you and now I will probably try to find a T7 for more of the adventure bike experience, thanks for keeping me poor. Lol.

Just picked up mine last week for luckily just MSRP! I definitely echo all of the same things you said. Playful, dialed geometry, an all around great bike so far!

keep the T7 videos coming. Picked up my T7 this last Saturday and may have to do some of the same mods you have done and will do.

I changed the tires on my T7 early because the handlebars became jiggly after a few thousand kilometers. Many other T7 riders say the same. I swapped them for the continental TKC70 rocks. Another significant mod on my bike is the high exhaust from hp corse. I f you drop the bike to the right, the damage can get really ugly with the stock exhaust.

Great real world review Dork. I’m always jealous of your riding area. Keep up the great work!

Seat concepts seat will make a huge difference. Steg pegz on the T7 make standing more comfortable. Vstream mid windshield is a lot better than the stock screen for improving the air flow. Congrats on the new bike!!

You are a braver man than I, I don’t know that I would take my T7 intentionally on a snow-covered asphalt road if that was asphalt I may be wrong. Especially with those tires. I have to concur about the seat I felt like the stock seat was trying to spread my pelvic bone apart like a vise. I put the rally seat on and it’s 100 times better it’s narrower at the top and it’s more comfortable. Great video, cheers from Texas

T7 for the win!!! Might as sell the norden now lol. I LOVE the looks of the norden, but the harsh reality is that it's really a ktm in husqvarna clothing.

The T7 despite having a 34" seat height is really wide on the seat and tank which makes it feel really tall. Also I agree 100% with the windscreen, I replaced mine with one that is a few inches taller. The new screen blocks the wind so perfectly. Another great plus is that any exhaust you put on it the bike sounds amazing.

You definitely sound more excited about the T7 than about the Norden.

Looks like a fun bike to ride, i was starting to think the Tenere 700 was a made up myth since no dealer ever has one. the small fuel tank and short range are a problem for "adventure" seekers, we don't always know where the next gas station is. looking forward to video updates on how it rides.

Get your self a pair of bark busters for hand grips protection. Aussie made also check out finer filters with a pre cover over filter. Nice blue T7 riding in snow looks fun, Good footage Thanks Internet riding buddy.

Back in September I put a deposit on a T7. I was at the top of the list (#1). In early February or so, I cancelled the deposit after debating for 2+ months that I probably needed to spend the money on replacing / fixing the well that provides water to my house. That particular T7 arrived the first week of March. There were 5+ people in line on the list at that point in time, which I heard when someone told me a T7 had arrived. The dealer called those 5 people, none of them wanted it. The 6th person got it. By that time I was having good results with a temporary water system in my house, so I put a deposit on a T7 again. I'm #3 on the list now.... but since then, I've been very close to cancelling my deposit again.

Fast forward to a week ago today (Thursday) and I heard that a dealer in the next town over from me had a T7 waiting to get shipped from a warehouse on the coast. Last Friday I called and said I want it. Sadly, I've waffled multiple times all week about the "need" for one. I already have two bikes, a DRZ (which I've had since 2006) and a 2019 450 EXC-F Six Days KTM (which is awesome on trails in WA and at 10, 000' + elevations in Colorado where I took it in 2020.
