North Korea blew up sections of deeply symbolic roads connecting it to the South on October 15, 2024, according to the South Korean military, which has responded with a “counter-fire” operation. Officials in the North accused the South of using drones to drop anti-regime propaganda leaflets on its capital Pyongyang last week. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un threatened to take “immediate military action” if the drone flights continued.

I feel like this is a very powerful message, because the road was one of the very few infrastructures connecting the North to the South. With it destroyed, it shows that there is no hope left for any reconnection between the North and South as long as the Kim dictators live
