New Wave of PS5 Games Confirmed (And Denied) | PS4 to PS5 Game Upgrades Free Hints EA. - [LTPS #412]

As we work our way through the first week of May, news slowed down a bit on the PlayStation side of things while Microsoft held their 'gameplay' showcase. Thankfully, there were still some PS5 game announcements there, and a few others throughout the week. We also now have a better picture of what happened regarding The Last of Us Part 2 leaks, so we go over that. EA also kinda slips out that free next-gen upgrades will be available for both consoles, except there's a time limit for their games. Oh, and we have patents. A lot of them. But best yet? PS Vita news. It's not good, but hey, I'll take anything Vita nowadays. Viva la Vita!

Why are you accepting Schreier's explanation so uncritically? Uncharted or TLOU 1 having a "vulnerability" that would let an attacker get access to a development or media server and either install the game and record something themselves or steal already recorded gameplay, which is supposedly a pretty old version anyway, makes absolutely zero sense.

TLOU 1 / Uncharted servers existed before any kind of development even started on TLOU 2, how could they lead to any kind of privileged access to unrelated parts of ND's infrastructure? Did someone include ND's domain admin password somewhere in the netcode and for whatever reason it wasn't changed for the last X years? Not a technician myself but I do work in IT, I'm interested in any theories anyone might have about this, but to me it sounds like extreme PR bullshit.

Bright Memory Infinite, I think is also coming to PS5. The dude who made it has talked about PS5 in some interview I forgot where that article was, probably from n4g or reddit. It was buried along with some of the lesser known but confirmed PS5 game Quantum Error.

I’m hoping that a so called “Uncharted 5” features Sam Drake on his Portuguese adventure with Sully and maybe Charlie Cutter as well that was teased at the end of 4.
