A trip up one of the world's fastest elevators (36km/h), the Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC), a staggering 492.0 metres tall (currently the world's second largest building, after the Burj Khalifa in Dubai at 829.84 m).
China are currently building a new tower called the Shanghai Tower (due for completion 2014), will surpass the Shanghai World Financial Centre as the worlds second tallest structure but will feature the world's fastest lifts developed by Mitsubishi whisking people up 632 metres (128 floors) at a speed of around 64.8km/h.
