I'm a 58 year-old grandmother A lover of music and I discovered Mac Miller in a video with Ariana grande and I thought, how cute, is this dude... Then I learned that Mac had died😭... And four months before he died, him and Ariana had broken up .... I wanted to know more, so I dove into swimming N circles....this guy right here, I find to be completely and totally amazing. HE was 26 years old, played three instruments, wrote songs, music, sang, and from what everyone said Mac was funny, charming sweet compassionate and just a beautiful soul inside and out and the white boy had rhythm... I truly believed he was just coming into himself. Circles and swimming is a trip into the heart and mind of an addicted, heartbroken, determined to survive, musically gifted legend... God I don’t want to minimize any of the more recent rappers deaths, but god this one hurt more than anything. We got to see Mac come up from nothing, created some amazing music trends, we saw him reach ultimate success and he was with Ariana grande and it was so cool to see this guy I had been listening too since he was 16 was doing so good. He really was just like me and it made me hopeful for the future. Then to see him get heartbroken and struggle and then to release this album it seemed like he was moving on and I thought maybe we will see Mac grow old and become a creative legend. The fact that I was going through drug addiction and got the news he died from the same shit hurt me to my core. He wasn’t someone who blew up for a half a year and then died, he was so close to making it out. He would have been as prolific a producer as Kanye and would be writing all the hits for people if he got the chance. True ass talent. I’ll miss you Mac

Not ashamed to say I shed tears when I found out he passed away. His music helped me with my anxiety and depression so much. He understood me without even knowing it. Feels like I lost an amazing friend that had a humongous fucking heart.
