This was the best part of the entire night stalker series on Netflix. When I saw a whole community of just regular people apprehend a serial killer the way they did, it was so amazing to me to see a group come together like that. They're the real heroes here

My mom always tells me the story of how my tío was apart of the group in the neighborhood that helped stop Richard Ramirez
Edit: y’all my mom and six other tíos all talk about it I’m not sure what the whole story is. I just felt like sharing what I was told growing up.

He was seen in my neighborhood during that time and my grandpa told me how during the summer of 85 he would have my family sleep in the family room while he stayed awake with a gun, prepared if anything happened. Apparently he only attacked light colored houses and we had a light colored house. It’s crazy to think about.
