After trying all the 5 in the backs, this one is honestly the most fun to use. But honestly what have we become to play a 5 in the back. I really liked the 352 back in the day. But its nothing compared to these 5 in the backs 8 year's later 🤣. Honestly as a football fan i just refuse to play a 5 in the back. I mean its supposed to be fun to play this game. But i guess that's why some people like Mourinho over Pep.

Im loving the 4222 right now though, and with all these 4 back formations, I'll just put 1 fullback on defend.

Actually i think its good that people use the 5backs because we can easily run over their midfield 🎉 and they are very likely to make mistakes with the build up which gets punished extremely hard this year.

I’ve gone from being a 14 win player and being able to get div 1/elite division to this year going 7-8 this weekend. I’m currently div 3 pushing into div 2 and genuinely think I had the worst possible luck when it came to matchmaking this weekend. Every single opponent I played was an absolute sweat. I’ve seen people in div 4/5 getting 9/10 wins.

This is possible using a 451 flat, have one wing back on wing back attack or falseback attack, other on fullback defend and they make a back 3 in possession

i gotta say this formation is very good, i pretty easily went from div 6 to div 5 and im still winning. and i still dont use timed finishing, player lock, skill moves or partial team press and i suck at player switching and sometimes i move defender out of my backline and opponent just walks through 😂. and you were right about false 9 as well, im playing flase 9++ on if martinez, which means i play playmaker on cam over shadowstriker and now thuram basically scores all the goals and martinez is just on a permanent world tour.

I’m liking the 41212 narrow this year, and I wonder, could the 5212 be imitated by having the CDM play as a centre half?

That way I can use the same players and not buy a 3rd CB and switch tactics ingame if I need the extra width from the wingbacks

I have a few questions about some of the player roles. Do you recommend having any cbs on ball winning defender while staying on defence focus or does this change how they play too much? And is there much difference using attacking wingback compared to wingback(I tend to use a lot of L1 triggers for my runners)?

Something you always say is “a rank 3 player or above” I’m a rank 3 to rank 2 player and I feel like I’m awful. I think I get to these ranks because I’m smarter (or not as dumb) as other players, but in all honesty I’m pretty shit at the game. I constantly sweat out 1-0 maybe 2-1 games because I can’t score. I will say I’m a pretty good defender, but if it’s not a Son finesse + goal from the parking lot, im probably not scoring and it’s frustrating. I can’t blame the team either, I have Son, Mbappe, Jude, basically anyone and can’t put it in the net.

5-4-1 has been my goto formation since fifa 21 lol. So funny to see that it's apparently the meta but i swear, i havent played a single person with any 5 atb formation. Im currently sitting at 7 wins on champs with 5 games still to play. I refuse to do that speed boost thing and have noticed only a few people doing it. i do have crossplay turned off and play on xbox. So i know im missing all the pc sweats which im perfectly happy with.
