Finally! I’ve been following this case a long time. I’d like to know your opinion on this. It’s weird how 3 people are in prison for this and it still doesn’t feel like justice. Feels like the actual perpetrators of this horrific crime are still free and very entitled that they can’t be touched. Thanks for covering this!

I was a patient of Adelson Sr & was not at all surprised that they’d be capable of this .
This is wild indeed .. of course the entire family orchestrated the murder.

As a Tallahassee native I vividly remember when this happened. It feels like forever ago because it happened when a murder in Tallahassee was still a pretty big deal. Therefore, the murder of a FSU professor was a huge deal.
I'm glad they continue to try to get justice for Professor Markel. Personally, I can't imagine that Wendy didn't have a hand in this and I hope if that's the case she too gets brought to justice.

I loved watching the first 2 trials. I picked the hung jury for Magbanua in the first trial; the State were unable to find that one piece of concrete evidence to connect her. Georgia Kappelman did a fantastic job as DA and hopefully she can keep getting the results this case deserves.

I vaguely remember this case, but I do remember it was fascinating and heartbreaking. I hope this family gets the final justice they deserve, and a lot quicker!

i remember the testimony from Wendi’s then-boyfriend. he was such an amazing point if view, and to know that the timing of the murder was to be lined up with the boyfriend leaving town… to supposedly attempt to frame HIM for the murder. Wendi pressured the ex-boyfriend about his plans to leave town that morning. both of his testimonies on Magbanua’s trials are gold.

This was a horrible murder for Dan. I remember this. Peter I was wondering if he was your professor - yes. Way too long for justice to take place. Wendi and her mother are guilty not sure of the father.

Wendy’s mother I believe wanted her grandchildren to be down in Miami. The mother is involved with her children life way too much except one child (son) who left the family. I believe he is a Dr in NY. He will have a say in this trial.

Dan has such wonderful friends. Dans mother has talked about her book, the Unveiling, and his friends have been on Surviving the Survivor.

I hope one day Dan’s Mom (and Dad)will one day know her grandchildren. She is an incredible human being. ❤️❤️❤️

Live in Tallahassee, I live less than a mile away, and our kids went to the same preschool. Watched both the first two trials, but this time I am actually looking forward to attending some of this trial

So happy you are covering this case. Did not see the first 2 trials but got interested in this case when I started watching podcasts and Ruth Markel was a guest on that podcast. I immediately was drawn to this case. Ruth is an amazing woman, so well spoken and fair minded. Just imagine she is going to see this through till the end. She is an incredible victim who has been behind the scenes, patiently waiting for this trial. You can feel how connected she is to the law as she has worked so hard throughout this devastating tragedy. A mother's love for her son has to endure all of the pain her family will once again have to rehash this pointless crime. There is a valuable lesson to be learned here. Who was really thinking about what was best for the children? I was thinking you might've crossed paths with Dan in your career but had no idea he was your professor. If he could see what a successful lawyer and humanitarian you are he would be proud. ❤Justice for Dan and his family.
