How to Crochet an African Flower Hexagon!

This is a new upload from last week's video! I noticed I missed a small part of round 4 in the previous upload, so I wanted to reupload it so it was clear and easy for everyone to follow.

The crochet African flower hexagon is a classic motif that you can turn into many great things from blankets and pillows to sweaters and stuffed animals. Plus they're great for using scrap bits of yarn!

→ TIPS FOR NEATER GRANNY SQUARES :

For this video, I used a variety of yarns from my stash. Many of them have been around for so long, you can't buy them anymore. But here are my affiliate links for those still available if you want to support the channel:

Wonderful to watch twice. It's my opinion that most of us 'creatives' do the same as you do. Continued blessings!

I think I’ll try this in my white sparkle yarn because I’m making snowflakes for my church for Christmas. Anything hexagon? I consider a snowflake and if it has eight sides, it’s not a snowflake only six sides.

I love the pattern and I really like the colors you chose. That said, I don't get a fall 🍁 🍂 feeling with the Patel colors. I associate fall with shades of brown's, golds, reds, oranges, and greens. Like autumn leaves.

Is that what you’re calling the magic knot in the old days I’m 70 we called that the Russian join in spinning class when we joined our yarn together like that

Have you ever made a half block? I have a blanket pattern that calls for some and I do not understand the instructions?

I don't know where I am going wrong but mine keeps turning out more like a circle, instead of how nice yours is with the petals.

You would never have a hexagon with 8 sides. Hexagons have 6 sides. So, if you start with 8 petals, you will not end up with a hexagon.
