When I lived in SoCal and worked for a FD, I was the designated rattlesnake catcher. Through 30+ years, I caught a couple dozen, both at the job and at my home in Carlsbad. Jeans won't protect you from the bite of a startled snake, snake chaps will. Carrying a stick, not a golf club, is also a good idea. A rattlesnake bite causes tissue necrosis, dead tissue that will never regenerate, so they are nothing to play with or ignore. Word to the wise.

I have had quite a few rattlesnake encounters. They’re not looking to bite people, they’re just trying to stay alive.
Great video!

I'm glad you are carrying a high-speed projectile dispenser. Arizona became a constitutional carry state 12 years before Texas! So we out Texas'd Texas! Love your videos brother!

That type of barrel appears to be what we in the waste business call a "closed top" barrel. It usually has both ends sealed and a small hole on the top for liquefied objects to be funneled into it. Typically if someone wants get rid of a solid it would be put in an "open top" barrel with a lid and a round aluminum clamp to lock the lid in place. Probably not a body unless it's a human smoothie

Thank you for your videos. I’m an old broken down lady and rarely leave my house. I have a grandson living in Mesa and I can’t travel to see Arizona. These help me see the state he lives in. I appreciate that.

Yup, I'm born and raised in the Mojave... still live here. I've seen plenty of rattlesnakes, and 100% the majority of them have been on or near roads or trails because they were trying to keep warm or hunting for food at dusk. The next most common is around rocks. They love rocks. The biggest tip I have it to LISTEN. They will almost always warn you. Also... most of the snakes you'll encounter aren't even rattlesnakes. Many of them are harmless (to humans), even beneficial. It helps to have a basic understanding of snake biology and behavior if you're going to be adventuring out in the desert. You quickly learn where they might be hiding.

Yeah, there could be a body in the concrete, in the barrel. I'd report it to authorities. Cool videos. Be safe!

As a newbie to area, I appreciate your videos. I live in Payson these days. I love it that a young guy like you was listening to Gordon Lightfoot!

Regarding the rattle snakes, not every hospital in Arizona has anti venom. Just in case you need to know this information. Love your videos! I’ve lived in Arizona since my birth several decades ago. Fun seeing the places your drone goes!

I used to take my kids out prospecting and we only had two encounters with rattlesnakes. We left them alone and they left us alone. Love your show Jessie👍
