Judge Frank Caprio is battling cancer

Known for his empathy in the courtroom, 87-year-old retired Judge Frank Caprio, is now asking for some in return.

“I would ask each of you in your own way to please pray for me,” Caprio, the judge turned reality TV star, said in a video posted Wednesday morning announcing he has pancreatic cancer.

You are definitely in my prayers ! I am a nurse of 25 years and have been honored to care for many people who have courageously battled this tough disease. Don't give up, Judge. I am a 10 year survivor of a rare triple negative breast cancer originally given 1 year to live. I am 70 years old now and still working at our wonderful Cleveland Clinic. Chemo is tough but just like you never give up on your court defendants, keep your faith and keep "moving" if only to walk down your driveway and back. It made a difference for me, dear Judge. Remember, too, our life is not our own, it is God's journey prescribed to us. Trust in Him always. Amen.
