7 Everyday Items to Trash, Not Compost―For Your Zero Waste Lifestyle

Показать описание
In this video, we dive into seven common zero-waste items that should never be composted but instead need to be trashed to protect the environment. We start with wet wipes, which, despite their convenience, contain synthetic fibers that don’t break down in compost. Teabags are another offender, often made with plastic or bleached materials that can harm both wildlife and soil. Receipts, printed with chemicals like BPA, contaminate compost, while vacuum dust and dryer lint, full of synthetic fibers, should be discarded. We also address the issue with fruit stickers, which are typically made of plastic and can pollute compost, as well as dental floss, which can tangle in waste-processing equipment. Finally, bleached coffee filters contain chlorine and other chemicals that aren’t safe for compost. Tune in to learn how to properly dispose of these items and make more eco-friendly choices!
