Don't forget with the SuperSelect system, you can shift from 2WD to 4WD Hi (or vice versa) on the fly, at speeds up to 100kph. When I had my Pajero, I would switch from 2WD to 4WD Hi, as soon as it starts to rain. And I love being able to do this w/o needing to stop, or slow down to a crawl.

These manufacturers are smart: 1st offer 10 year capped price servicing and 10 year warranty. Must get it serviced at dealer, more money there. Then put price of vehicle up to cover warranty/capped price servicing.

I love Mitsubishi 4WDs. I've had two Pajeros in the past. To this day, I still regret selling my '99 NL Pajero Exceed. I'm also a fan of Mitsubishi's SuperSelect 4WD system. But the Triton as it is now, with the price it's at, it pains me to say, but I'd look at other well-established brands first before I would even consider it. I think with the Triton, just like with the Toyota 70 Series LandCruiser, you truly want to have that model, to buy it.

Recommend the GLS Premium - costs alot less than the GSR, just a few less goodies but still good. Second hand on's with low kms are around $40, 000.

dont know if this video was worth the effort. yes the triton is old its been around since 2016 and is soon to be replaced as you know. The reliability and superior 4wd system has huge merits on this vehicle.

Triton cost $65, 997 drive away….
Ford Ranger XLT with touring pack drive away is $68, 028 for 2.0TT & $71, 118 for the 3.0 V6…..
I know what I would choose…….V6 👍👍

Have had a new Triton since 2020 & gotta say amongst some other things my biggest problem with the Triton is the throttle lag/flat spots. I know Sam said it was all good on the model he drove but the throttle lag/flat spots in mine is extremely frustrating to say the least. Tbh if I had the extra funds atm, I'd probably sell it & based on my experience would definitely not buy another. Spoke to numerous dealership's was basically told nothing they can do & I just gotta put up with it. Have been told it can be fixed with a tune but then again there goes your warranty 🤷‍♂️. Something i didn't expect from a new vehicle

Actually could afford a hillux, there just overpriced, same with ford, I also don’t like the cheap Chinese utes. My options where between this a the dmax. I chose this, his pricing is off, I got a fully specked out gsr. For less than the model tested with a roll top cover sports bar tow bar, wheel flares, ceramic coat, window tints, wireless phone charger, and the white diamond paint. The new raptor is like $95k. Who in there right mind will buy a ford for 100k. Hilux rouge is good but I hate that carpet liner plus I think it about 10k overpriced same with the sr5. The dmax is probably the best although the wait time for me was a year. The only thing I don’t like about the Triton is the tray overhang. And the tray size in general. Although the advantage is I can tow with 4x4 on road the the narrow body and smaller wheel base is better off road.

Purchased a new Triton in 2021, 22, 000km in and already requiring a new timing belt. Told it's not under warranty and will require $600 to replace. An item that should last up to 100, 000km, lasting a fifth of its lifespans and not being covered under warranty on a new car is appalling. Service basically told me it's my problem and if I want it replaced I have to pay for it.
