Very poorly owned and run club. Depended so much on Ferguson holding it all together that they never planned for life without him. Liverpool agree to let Klopp leave but spend a whole season (and a few before that) planning for the future. Got the right people in behind the scenes while Klopp was there as well. The appointment of Slot was carefully thought out regardless of what the naysayers would like to believe. The key is that Slot FITS the Liverpool philosophy and even with a brand new coaching team, they have carried on where they left off last season. The rebuild is working superbly and Slot has a clear plan with a group of players who are dedicated to the task at hand.
Critics can blame Ten Hag all they want but he is just another casualty of a rotten system that has festered at the club since before Ferguson left.
