To be fair, all 16 states of Germany are all completely different. If you were in Bayern, you’re gonna be treated very different as opposed to if you were in say Saarland, Berlin, Sachsen, Sachsen-Arnhalt, Niedersachsen, etc. All of the states are VERY different.

@Emmanuel there is historical reason why there are more black people in the us, france or the uk, etc. most of the times they did not enter the country by free will...

In Germany (RLP), I grew up and went to school with People of color and I never once heard anyone discriminate them.... unless they were gay. Sad to say but then again that was in the 90s so times have changed a lot or so my daughters report

I have lived-in berlin over 20 years and the fact that its American looking for racism in berlin is tiring. Don't bring this victim mentality to berlin. I am African.

Im german and oh my god. I have never seen this amount of racism from my people in one comment section. I know me apologizing for these incompetent people doesn’t do anything, but the amount of disgusting and shameless people here make me so sad.

Of course you will experience racism. That exists in every country sadly. But what can you do? I hope in the future less and less people will be racist and hateful towards poc people around the world.

Don’t be afraid to visit us just because of this. I recommend visiting Berlin because its one of the most supportive and accepting cities here. Much love from Germany.❤

Constant interrogation on where you really come from, Asking students and skilled migrants why they arrived in Germany and when they are going back to their home country, refusals in housing market, extremely homogeneous corporate world, Racial profiling in nightclubs, Borderline irritated behaviour from regular people and service sector workers.

Being black especially, bi-racial is nothing and I repeat *nothing* special in Berlin. I'm from Germany and grew up in munich but I was shocked to see the amount of bi-racial Germans lol.

Who goes to central Europe asking themselves where the black people are? Do you also go to China asking yourself the same question? Smh 🤦🏽
