Eccentric grandmother, Sonia Linares, is dying and not allowed to do much under the care of her overprotective daughter, Celeste. Even so, Sonia has unconventional plans for her end of life - a former Engineer, she is determined to build a rocket ship and launch herself into outer space before she dies. With the help of her free spirited granddaughter, Ro, she’ll make it happen, no matter what.

Hello! Thanks so much for watching ‘RO & THE STARDUST’!

This story is inspired by my experience with my father’s end of life. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and deteriorated quickly. All the hopes and plans he had for his life were put on hold while he fought his battle. Most people disregard that illness and age does not omit desires and dreams. People are people no matter where they are on their life journey. I made this film to honor my father and to inspire anyone who ever had a dream or calling that felt impossible.

Absolutely loved it. A real gem! I too have a short time left and, like grandma, have set aside the simple daily life to achieve the bucket list of things I always said I had to do before I go. They are difficult, but even if I do not complete them, I am happy to be doing what I love and wanted most from life. I dedicate these days to myself and the joy they bring.
