I earned a BSME degree in Mechanical Engineering from GMI (now Kettering University) in the mid-80s. We had to have a corporate sponsor to attend because it was a cooperative education program from the beginning. We spent 3 months at work then 3 months at school then did it again. We also had to publish an undergraduate thesis during our fifth year (it took five years to complete the program) in order to graduate. We covered the same material in 12 weeks that other schools covered in 18 weeks each term. I used to say that it was like drinking from a fire hose.

During my Sophomore year, they started a new program and brought in several black students in on a program that saw them pay nothing. There were black kids there previously who were just like me, working their way through school to earn a degree. These new students behaved as though they were entitled. I was working my butt off to earn the money to pay my tuition and housing while they had a free ride. Very few of them actually graduated even though they bent the rules and tried to push them through. They were not qualified. They just had the right skin tone.

This man is completely brilliant, and he is one of the people that black Americans should be listening to instead of the manipulators who they follow now looking for their reparations scooby snacks. I'm up there in the years, and I've never, ever heard of this man until I stumbled upon him on YouTube one day. And that's a real shame.

Years ago, I dated a girl who was attending a low-rent, "as-seen-on-TV" technical college for graphic design. She was not the brightest bulb on the tree, but she tried. On graduation day, she started crying uncontrollably, and I asked her what's wrong. She said she felt like she graduated from nothing - she was NOT ready for the workplace, and she knew it. They didn't really train her at all, they just shuttled her along through the classes, giving her passing grades just to take her money and get her out of there.
This is a very similar problem to the one discussed here. Grab the money, brag about the numbers, and throw everybody to the wolves.

Forcing the innocent to pay nonvictims for something that happened to neither of them is not reparations.
Reparations is actual proven victims being compensated by their actual violators.
I don't know of anybody who opposes that.

Dr. Sowell’s lectures mesmerize me, his words are so beautifully put together, sometimes I have to fight my brain to get back to what he is talking about!😂😂. This is such an important subject for not only the Western culture but for Africa. Dictators in Africa constantly blame the West for their poverty, and are demanding reparations for 1.6 Billion people….until they are all ‘flourishing’.(They will decide when everyone is flourishing’). The West stole their slaves and other resources, those slaves built America…now Africa wants repayment, for the building of America! Why don’t they build Africa, if they built America! SA can’t keep their electricity on! Anyway, another great topic from the mesmerizing Dr. Sowell!
