Hi, my name is Dr Sia. I am a psychotherapist, lecturer, and researcher. As per usual, I hope you comment, subscribe, and press that bell icon for regular updates.

In this video I discuss reasons for why people with avoidant, ambivalent, and disorganized attachments ghost other people. People with these attachments often suffer terribly as a result of multiple childhood traumas and unfortunately they continue to suffer throughout their adulthood as well. Frequently unaware of how their patterns make them act in ways that goes against their own values. This results in extreme experiences of shame and confusion for people who ghost and those you are ghosted.

Of course, the video is not exclusive in the issues it addresses but it is a good start I believe as it may provide some answers to people who have been searching without any answers so far!
I hope the video resonates with everyone watching this!

Also make sure to follow me on @doctorsia on insta for regular written posts, IGTV posts, and live IGTV sessions on Thursdays at 20.30 AEST and more!

Having been in a relationship with someone suffering disorganised attachment, it’s like you start having to expect whiplash. Having conversations are impossible and eventually you have to let it go

I thought it was cowardly inmature behaviour. I am trying to understand this.

I have seen places where disorganized attachment is seen as synonymous with anxious avoidant style. How do you perceive these terms?

I have also often seen the term anxious avoidant and anxious ambivalent and dismissive avoidant. Where would you place them in relation to the common terms avoidant, ambivalent and disorganized attachment? I think it is confusing with these different terms.

People also ghost when they’re scared of their feelings so I’ve heard. This applies to FAs.

Can there be a mix of these attachment styles within the individuals behaviour?
