Noctua NA-FD1 Installation Guide

The NA-FD1 fan duct kit makes it possible to significantly improve the performance of Noctua NH-L9i and NH-L9a series CPU coolers in Small Form Factor (SFF) environments where there is a gap of 5mm or more (up to 45mm) between the cooler and a perforated top or side panel. Bridging this gap, the duct prevents the cooler from taking in hot air from the interior and enables it to draw in fresh air from the outside through the perforated panel, which can, depending on the setup, improve CPU temperatures by as much as 5°C or more.

I checked and they include 16 tubes, so if you mess up or you want to use a different case, you'll have spares. Great product!

I have the same fan, same case and i just completed this mod.
I got a WHOPPING -10c !!! insane !
I did a burn in test before where my cpu hit 91c and continued rising... stopped the test and added this product.
My system then stabilized at 81c!!
SOO worth it!!

ни хрена себе, это же надо было до такого додуматься, я видел в старых корпусах такое решение было, что то это этакое. Но тут ну прям жестко вы так ))). Жаль конечно, что придется обрезать пластик, а не отсоединять, чтобы было ещё лучше. А так супер.

Before this, I was always use the plastic package cover to make the DIY duct, and always keep the Noctua logo orientated.

I bought a small funnel that someone 3D-printed for my L9A, but this kit will still help me raise the funnel closer to the wall of the case.
