Idk if she ever would do a self titled but I feel like this album would’ve been the perfect opportunity to have a “Gaga” era. Sonically it really is her returning to form and her biggest inspirations.

Vanish Into You, Zombieboy, Garden of Eden, Abracadabra, Disease, Shadow of a Man, Don’r Call Tonight, i mean Jesus Christtt. This is her most immaculately produced album and it has her best vocal performances since the ASIB soundtrack (but also her vocals in harlequin were elite). She is so committed to her craft and I’m so proud of her for experimenting with her sound but in a way that sounds so her. I always wondered what she would sound like doing this type of funky, rockish, 80s vibe and sound. She has played with them slightly in the past, but never this refined and this incredibly done. Songs like Zombieboy and Vanish Into You I think will be some of my favorite Lady Gaga songs of all time. And let’s not forget the most of these songs are over three or four minutes long. I respect having an intro, a pre-chorus, two choruses, a post chorus, a bridge and an outro like damn yes please give it to me. These TikTok brains aren’t ready for four minute songs.

I LOVE Mayhem so much! My current favourite song is probably Vanish Into You, but I literally love every single song lol. I love how she tried so many different sounds and made them her own, and the attention to detail that has been put into the production side is really second to none in terms of pop artists releasing at the moment in my opinion. I would argue that the sound of How Bad Do You Want Me was first adopted by Lady Gaga during The Fame era before Taylor Swift adopted it and became her signature sound in 1989 and onwards.

some people were complaining how mayhem was a rehash of her fame monster era, but don't realize that was when Gaga was in her prime. THIS is the sound that fits her the best imo. she paved way for a whole generation of pop girlies with this type of music. easily her second best album!

"Mayhem" is what "143" should've been. It's a throwback to the past without feeling like an outright rehash. I'm glad that you singled out "Garden of Eden". That was one of my favorite songs from the album! 🤓

I''ll admit i expected a more dark pop album, but Gaga herself said months ago that the album wasn't that, it was a mix of genres and sounds, and since the release it has grown on me with each listen. I still think that the first half of the album is inmaculate and probably contenders for her best songs, but overall the album is really enjoyable and great. Mother monster did it again

Dynamic pop combined with electro, disco, industrial rock, and VOCALS to die for. Lyrics with depth and catchy choruses with bridges that transformed entire songs.

Perfect Celebrity, Vanish Into You, and Shadow of a Man are my favorites! For me, it felt like the album was progressing from an artist dealing with darkness and suffering, to a mature woman who will die with a smile knowing she was able to accept herself and fall in love, despite how destructive fame has been.

Please not u paying Blade of Grass dust, it had me so emotional 😭 I personally loved the whole album! The only skip for me was How Bad Do You Want Me because it fr does sound like a Taylor swift song and it just felt so basic and out of place for Gaga 😬 the rest of the album was chef’s kiss 🖤✨
