Seen them back in the early years of the 1990’s when I was in Germany in the Army

I only caught the last 2 songs in some club before they finished
I didn’t know them but asked one of the concert go’er what the band was

He said Mayhem

I seen them again in 2001 at the Whiskey AGO AGO and I met Maniac out in the back of the club and we talked awhile
I gave him one of my demo tapes from my thrash band from 1987

I seen Emperor a couple years later

then 16 years again after

I was there! Late night show, they took the Louder stage at 10:45 - last performers on that stage for the year. The crowd was pretty quiet and subdued - we'd been through 4 solid days of shows and weren't sure what to expect. Mayhem delivered a show that reminded us all of where they'd come from and showed us where they'd like to take us. I'm in. Let's f'in go.

Seeing them live I don't know how many times over the course of the last 15 to 20 years all I can say is they for sure put on one hell of a show and each time was unique in its own way. The best one was when they played DMDS from beginning to end in memorium of Dead in los Angeles.
