VW or Audi How to Enter a Radio Code - Radio display reads SAFE - DIY Repair

How to enter a 3 or 4 digit VW Audi radio code. Your radio code is printed on a card usually located with you owners manual.

I was not about to pay for them to pull it out so they could get a code for me. I took 4 relatively thin screwdrivers and placed them in the holes in the 4 corners of the radio face. Then I pushed them outward as I pulled the radio out. Worked like a charm.

I recently acquired a 95 Vw Golf with a radio in safe mode. I just called the VW dealership and they told me that if I could get the serial number off the top of the radio then they will give me the code. To take the radio out I used a small allen wrench that ffit the holes. You will need 4 of them. Once they are put in the radio will slide out. I got the number and they told me my code. It was free

@crozadar Could be you attempted to unlock too many times. You have to let the radio sit, turned ON for an hour. In the description of the video there are links to articles with a bit more info on entering the code.

For a 2004 TT (Concert II radio), what are the buttons to make 1000 appear? It's RDS and something, but I'm not sure what. I would've tested this but the car is at home, so I'm just looking ahead of time

@iiAcesGaming Hold down FM and RDS. 1000 should appear. Your model is slightly different that the model used int he video.

Hi the 1st time i hold down the mode and scan it let me changed the code, but I enter the number incorrect, then it try again to hold down the mode and scan it don’t let me changed the code help ?

Please can some one help ? :) We have Volkswagen Multivan year 1995, we have code but we don't know which two buttons to hold for appearing 1000, because you can't find buttons SCAN or MODE on this radio :) There are only BAND, TP, RDS, CD, TA. Which buttons we should hold then ??? :)
