I've been laying in bed stressing about replacing my harness because the housing is broken on two of my connectors, thought I would have to do a bunch of cutting and re-wiring. Glad I found this video! Thanks guys

You guys are awesome for making this video. I barely did the coils and plugs yesterday and broke that 2nd plastic harness on my 2.5l and was stressing over how I was going to fix that. Big ups

Shout-out to Humble Mechanic. I just learned how to Re-Pin because of this video and I'm very happy about it. I will be replacing my coil pack connections this weekend along with conduit. Great video.

Use good lighting and take the best pictures of the wires you can first. This will save you from some possible frustration and maybe even accidentally ruining a module (if those ones are easily ruined. I take a picture of my fuses before I mess around trying to find a bad one and on these cars that is a life saver because they have no fuse chart. The worst part is that some similar looking cars have different fuse layouts and that is most likely because of various options yours came with and that might be on cars of the same model year. The best thing I can tell you is to get a picture and search the internet for a fuse panel that matches it and try to see if the one who posted it has the diagram. It is also a good idea to see if he/she has a car that is the same as yours.

Could these connectors cause misfire codes if they are failing?

I've watched all the videos I could find on removing VW connectors but haven't found one on YouTube that explains how to remove the pins from the OBD-II DLC. I would like to inspect the terminals in the DLC on a 1999 Beetle but don't know how the magenta-colored locking mechanism works on this one.

Having trouble removing the pins from one injector plug housing. I have a Mk4 Jetta. I removed the secondary securing clip(pink) in this case. I have a universal set pin removing tool kit but I can't seem to dislodge the pin connectors from the housing. thanks for the video btw.

well done as usual but what about the headlight switch in MKIV none of these you demonstrated look like this. There is no lock

Hello, I can't seem to find any info on how to remove the male end of these connectors. Any info on this?

I have to actually replace the terminal end (mentioned at about 3:35 of the video). Is there a special tool to do this? When I was dropping my subframe, I didn't realize there was a connector for the headlight level sensor that needed to be disconnected. Obviously, I pulled the wires completely out of the terminal ends. No damage to the plastic connectors themselves, though. So, I guess I need to purchase new terminal ends and seals, and maybe a tool to crimp them properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Fool here went and used a mains voltage (240v, UK.) soldering iron on the maf sensor plug without disconnecting the ecu terminals! Have I fried it?

My nephews 2009 Audi A4 Cabriolet has been driving me crazy with the pass seat not functioning and pass airbag off light. I finally was able to maneuver it back and forth by bypassing everything and going straight for the electric motor to remove it. Once on the bench, everything looked good. I removed the female connectors from the floor and BAM! Seat airbag wire corroded off and only three of seven of the seat wires were still connected. This connector has me baffled beyond belief. How do you remove the pins?
