He clearly does not understand how health systems work

With terminal leukemia at the age of 67, there's nothing left of my social security at the end of the month. I can't pay more. Vance probably gets free insurance 🙄

How sick is a society that treats chronically ill people as ATM machines for CEO salaries and Stockholders' returns? I've had MS since 1989. I've been "behind" on every payment in my life since; utilities, food, etc., because if you have a chronic illness, a massive chunk of your money already goes to prescriptions, co-pays, and modification of everything to be able to function -- even with insurance (which I only have because of the ACA). So, to reiterate, take a person like me who bought long-term disability insurance when I was working and now lives on 2000/month forever and make me pay even more until I'm what? Homeless because I can't afford property taxes? In a wheelchair because I can't afford treatment? Something's got to give. Make insurers and medical providers not-for-profit. Cap overhead for salaries. This system is insane. Yes, if you are a provider, you should charge to cover your costs and make a decent living, but not eneough for a third vacation home and your personal yacht.

JD Vance wants to pay more for your visits to the doctor if you're a poor person. That's sick.

My job encourages me to go to the doctor more. They call it wellness checkups. Cause the healthier I am, the less healthcare premiums they pay. Cancer, heart conditions, kidney disease, diabetes. These are all very expensive illnesses. And if you can prevent them by going to the doctor more, it saves all of us money.

The more he talks the more I wonder why people support him.

The price of a life-saving surgery was 165 USD. It's nice to have a good healthcare system. No extra insurance was needed, just the basic social insurance that our Nordic system provides for everyone.

Health Care should and could be free if it weren't for lawmakers like you being bribed. Health Care is a right.

I'm sure all that sounds good to him until it's him that needs the medical care.

We need to build a union and co-op movement to build workplace democracy🗳️💙, and to build leverage on the state for a Gen strike to demand Medicare for all🇵🇸🕊️Ⓐ☭🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💫

They do pay more...by going to the doctor. It's not free.

This terrifies me as I have five chronic health conditions :( I don’t want to be punished for having a bad immune system! I don’t even get MRI’s as much as I need due to the cost NOW.

I miss the days I was young and could pretend healthcare wasn’t something I would need. Now my child has chronic conditions. Imagine making them suffer bc I couldn’t afford specialized care. 😢

Obamacare saved my life. That's it in a nutshell.

People requiring more health care probably aren't working or working very little. It turns out poor health makes it hard to work a job.
The stupid is strong with this one.
