I know he was a good man. Made a bad choice of climbing a mountain thats dangerous and mostly with no oxygen. That year there was not enough oxygen tanks for everyone and thats why they died.😮

How ironic is that.. These guys do all these climbing for their name to be remain remembered and as they died during climbing the first thing that they lose is their name.. Mr. Green boot hope you find peace.

In 2014 he was moved to a less noticeable place. There was difficulty in that his body had become part of the frozen ground around him. He and one other well know climber were moved basically behind a rock outcropping next to their original place of death. Just not so easily visible now. I read an article where it was stated that the Chinese r appalled by the fact that the Nepal government allows these bodies to be left. I guess on the other side they remove them.

I read that he was moved from that location, and buried

I never do risky things if I can avoid it. It's all about your perspective and what you choose to consider as important or unimportant. I sometimes squeeze out a fart by lifting an ass cheek so it is silent and sometimes it makes a sound. That is about as risky as I get with my life.

300 souls and counting...I won't say the mountain is cursed, but it's surely haunted.

I beleive some honorable climbers respectfully moved his body.

They should try to bury him or cover him instead of leaving him out like that. Even though he is no longer here on earth, I think it would be respectful to cover him. 😢😢

Selfish, self-centered vain endeavor. Vanity of vanities. For a boast that means absolutely nothing at the end of life. When a tragedy happens, others suffer, families, friends. If a vain attempt at something dangerous ends in a life altering injury who is left to care for them? Their lifes changed forever.

I have no sympathy for anyone that takes a risk with life, or decides they need to take their own life because life is to hard!!!!
