Why installing/using CachyOS if you can install the system it is based on ? (you should use Arch instead 😅)
For extra install or configuration, the user just need to execute a script with all the software he needs or hardware drivers/firmware, specific kernels, desktop environment, window servicing, ... et voilà ! 😊

Sometimes the archlinux-keyring will be out of date and may cause issues when installing. I usually run pacman -S archlinux-keyring to update it first.

Recently I've tried this script in virtualbox. Default partitioning always works, but I also tried to use manual partitioning and then pre-mounted configuration.
Both of these options didn't make me go thru the installation process.
The first was throwing an error at the very beginning when the package downloading was ongoing.
The second was throwing an error at the very end of the installation process saying that it can't find my root partition even tho I've clearly defined it with cfdisk command.
Very weird actually.
I tried to do a research about it and found some people saying that this is a common issue for the archinstall script so I guess old-school installation is still a way to go if you want everything as polished as you want including partitions.

if you don't have access to the Internet, then you can't even launch archinstall

Thank you for this video, really nice and made me to try do it myself on my pc.

I follow everything on the video, but after i login, im stuck at a resolution like if i have no graphic drivers installed. I have a 2080ti.

If i try to use the script to install nvidia drivers, alot of errors appear and end up the installation.

This happens with wayland, if i logout and login on x11 everything fine.

ok, managed to install Arch Linux. took me a while to figure things out. bye bye linux mint. also installed steam. Probably need help installing OBS. I'll be following along with this series.
