Get to know the bands of Make Music Vancouver: Amusia

Показать описание
Make Music Vancouver is a free live music celebration that brings people together on the first day of summer!
Amusia is a rock band that blends the progressive characteristics of odd meters and poly-rhythms with elements of rock and pop. Formed in Coquitlam, British Columbia in October 2008, they currently reside in Vancouver. They released their first full length album "Time Will Tell" on Friday, February 10, 2012.
On June 21st from 5 to 10pm, the streets of Gastown become sidewalk musical stages and festive dance floors! Past 10pm, the party continues inside many of Gastown's pubs and restaurants.
This grassroots event is being made possible entirely by volunteers, from organizers to performers. It showcases hundreds of amateur and established musicians, and celebrates music in all its diversity.
The first-ever edition was a resounding success, bringing 150 bands and 20 000 spectators to the streets of Gastown on June 21st 2011.
Make Music Vancouver was inspired by La Fête de la Musique, an event launched in France in 1982, and has since gone global, taking place each year on June 21st in over 450 cities worldwide today.
