they need to start building apartments or some other form of dense housing instead of single family homes on large lots. public transportation is not feasible in phoenix because the population density is too low and people are too used to the car.

You're actually talking about suburban sprawl, not urban sprawl. But anyways

So, the hyperloop thing is just terrible. It's just a road on top of another road... but more expensive.

What you guys need is higher population density, walkability, i.e. shorter paths and more beautiful cityscape and finally options for commuters such as busses, trams, railways.

Nothing is more noisy than a road full of cars. Trains pack so much more density and you can still put a noise cancelling wall to their left and right side in problematic areas.

Binge through the YT channels of Not Just Bikes and Strong Towns and be amazed at what's possible.

The entire suburban experiment that has plagued the US for 70 years is failed and needs to find an end.

Jeff, it's important that people involve themselves in the decisions of bringing these new innovations into their city, town or state. Becoming involved by attending meetings and reading up on what other more successful cities are doing and improving or copying them. I believe some cities don't want trains because they don't want certain people coming into their space or towns, which is debatable. Also, training and paying people a fair salary. It's hard to buy a $200K home when they're only making minimum wage or a little under that. There's enough of the pie for everyone! I keep telling you that you should run for something in order to make your voice heard and I think you would do well. Another informative video Jeff. I personally am looking forward to my journey to AZ but I won't like, the cost of relocating and starting a business in the US has its drawbacks no matter where you go due to cost. It's getting out of control. Keep up the good job in spreading the word about Scottsdale, as I'm going to need the business.

Main influence on Urban sprawl is not developers. It’s land speculators. We are not utilizing the space within the regions we’ve already colonized. Empty lots. Vacant commercial building who, owned by massive private equity firms can afford to wait for a tenant rather than lower the rent and allow a new bussiness to improve the city.
Single family zoning is bad. And unimaginative suburban cookie cutter developments are bad. But in all areas of American Culture the toxic influence we have become addicted to is financial sector.

Technology isn’t making our lives easier.
