Not familiar with any of the books, but if Artemis Fowl, based on what I saw in the trailer, is a fantasy-eque Matrix for kids, I'm sold.

Looks interesting. I know a lot of people are already comparing it to A Wrinkle In Time (a film I actually liked in all honesty), even though from what I’ve seen of the synopsis it’s more along the lines of Megamind. Sort of a kid criminal mastermind sort of thing. Seems interesting. Not to mention, Kenneth Branagh is at the helm, and most of his stuff is passable at worst.

If it ends up being a bad movie or just mediocre, I just hope us older fans will just tell the kids how was the books are and maybe get some new book fans. I’m practicing my pitch: “Okay, so it’s like if James Bond and Sherlock Holmes had a baby, and the baby was a 12 year old evil genius and he goes after fairies. Who have laser guns!”

at the moment this looks ok.

the only 2 movies trailers i am really looking forward to see are avengers 4 and of cause star wars episode IX, after the brilliant last jedi i really am looking forward for this upcoming trailer

Have you seen kenneth branagh Murder on the orient express? It is very good I highly recommended especially if you like old live action mystery movies


And it's getting a sequel in 2020 Called Death on the Nile with Gal Gadot.
