The Vanermonde det had me bothered and after three pages of notes I brute force expressed the det of matrix B with no elimination steps to get a nice long expression that looks clever ( ) and yet the result in the video is trivial (b-a)(c-a)(c-b). However both expressions should be equal. I don't see it really.

can i exchange row in last example and through elimination i get 0s in rows so det=0?

Couldn’t the last step be (b-c) too instead of c-b ?
