Great information!
I'm flying with a carry-on only for the first time, and this video was helpful.

Thank you for the video - I don't fly often but recently had a trip with a connection through Toronto Pearson airport. My challenge was the lack of signage or helpful agents to indicate where I needed to go to catch my outbound flight. It's a big airport and all the hallways and passageways look the same. My suggestion would be to add an extra 30 minutes to your schedule to find your departure gate. As a side note, when you book your flight and the boarding pass says Delta flight 123, it might actually be with another carrier (Westjet, for example). This codeshare stuff also adds to the confusion of finding your gate. It would be very nice if Pearson had staffed information booths at the major hallway intersections.

Thank you for this video. Im travelling in a few days with just carry on bags and i appreciate the tips and explanations. Im always anxious on travel day. Ive never checked in or printed a boarding pass from home but am going to try that this time, not only to make the process faster for myself but to also avoid standing in crowded line ups. I dont want my long awaited tropical vacation spoiled by covid. Thank you again for this awesome and informative video! 🙂

Thanks - I first flew in 1965 (!), but haven't flown since 2001, one week before the 9/11 tragedy changed everything. You hit upon the simple but vital points I was curious about, e.g. what do I do when when I arrive at the terminal, printing out an advance boarding pass, and what's a kiosk and what does it do (LOL). Fortunately I'm tech savvy and should be well armed to deal with the changes.

Flown out of Buffalo NY any times, such a dream compared to YYZ! I’d like to try Hamilton sometime but I’ve heard of too many cancellations and the destinations I’ve been flying to I feel more comfortable than the airline flying something like twice a week. At least if there are several flights a day or at least every day then there is a better chance of getting there if a flight is cancelled.

Like most big airports taxis and limos offer a flat rate to downtown Toronto and even surrounding towns. It's cheaper than putting a family of 4 on the train and then still have to hail a cab because you're hotel is 6 blocks from the train station. Ask the guy who runs the booth what the rate is and you'll get an honest answer. I can't name cab companies but the orange ones with a green hood & roof are spotless, safe and the drivers well trained. Smoking outside the terminal will NOT get you arrested.

I’m flying out of Toronto to England. I have severe ptsd and haven’t been on a plane since my trauma. I contacted the airport and did an accessibility comment. They got back to me and said they have noted it on file for ground crew and cabin crew. I asked for help to go through security checkpoint. So one less thing to worry about. I’m also staying at a hotel and doing the park and fly so the shuttle bus shouldn’t fail me 😂

Hey, I love your video. This is my first time travelling alone. How do I set up push notifications? Is it an app? Or something else?

Hello, I have Two questions if you can help answer? 1) I was wondering if I needed a transit visa to catch a connecting flight through this airport? I’m flying in from LAX to Canada to Spain. Is a transit visa required?
2) I have 1:24 mins layover to catch flight out to Spain. Do you think this is enough time to get thru ti my connection flight? I have a carry on luggage only.
thx any info will help!

Update: I’ve been able to get through to customer svc at AirCanada and they said that I don’t need a Transit Visa and that the 1hr n 24 mins should be enough time to get thru n catch connecting flight out. I feel better after speaking with an actual rep👍🏼

Hi I enjoyed this video. I'm planning on checking in online, but just wondering what the point of printing off my boarding pass before hand is, since I have luggage? I'll have to go through bag drop offs and they give me a boarding pass/bag tag there, right? So would it save any time printing it off at home for me?

Also, since I booked 2 flights at the same time, can I expect at my layover in Frankfurt airport that my bags will transfer and I don't have to go through bag check/security again? Thanks again for this video

Awesome content- Just a quick question regarding accompanying travellers to the checking counters- is it still applicable? I was trying to check the official page of Pearson Airport but couldn’t get any information there. My parents are travelling in next 2 days and I wanted to make sure if I can accompany them to the checking counters

If I am flying yfc-yyz-Yeg when I arrive at terminal one at Pearson which is level 1 and departures are level 2….is it all airside or do I have to exit and go back through security again. I looked at the airport map and it wasn’t clear. I’m not checking baggage just my carry on
