In the example we use a road bike with clip-on aero bars, however, the same principles can be applied to a time trial bike.

This is not the BEST fit ever. IT IS THE ONLY WAY TO FIT. period. love it that the guy is a regular guy not all jacked like pro. the regular normal common human rider with no freak genetics. WONDERFUL Video. HIGHLY instructive and REALISTIC! Subscribed instantly.

Hey Everyone, this video is spot on. I was having pain in my shoulders and lower back while in the aero position. I had a professional fitting a couple years ago and it did not work for me. I watched this video and made the changes and Wow! I eliminated the back and shoulder pain. I was able to maintain the aero position for 30 minutes straight. I’m a follower now, please continue to post tips and tricks and thank you.

I have watched your video and did some set of tweaks as recommended from your video oh, I feel so much better. Today was a very windy windy day and I was in Aero position on my elbows my hands were above my elbows I tipped the seat just slightly brought it up about a quarter inch push my cleats back all the way and it was a phenomenal ride today. And on my way back I had tell him when and that tell when was just pushing me and I felt smooth fast and very much in control. Thanks for sharing these videos with us

Like everyone else has said, thanks so much for the great info. Being able to see the changes in action makes a big difference for me and will allow me to alter my positioning much easier, I feel. Many thanks!

thanks to you, I have been working on getting comfortable on my bike... I have applied the basic principles you talk about.. I have been focusing on comfort for now, rather than aero. I have an endurance bike, so dont expect anything drastic... but thanks!

Great vid as usual, I will pass guys on my road bike with clip ons. And now that I added di2 shifters for bars gonna be a game changer. It’s the rider of the bike and a good fit that’s all you need.
Thx always enjoy the vids.

Good info. It’s surprising how far up you need to go once you move forward and use an ISM type saddle. Thanks

I've utilized your thoughts about positioning the saddle and aerobars. Feeling comfortable already and gonna ride 2000 km in September trying to eliminate possibility of Shermer's neck way before the ride starts.

That's great! I hope I can see you all in September!

I wonder if there is a specific guideline or markers on how high should be the saddle height and how much forward should it be too in relative to the riders body...

Very interesting video. When choosing a bike frame height for a road bike that's also meant to be used for triathlons, would I choose the smaller size as for a tri bike or the normal size based on leg length? The reason I'm asking is that the smaller frame might allow a lower handle-bar position, or is my assumption wrong? I do not own a road bike yet, but I want to make sure to choose something that would be suitable for my first few 70.3s as well.

Obviously these changes put him.in a better TT position, but to ride his hoods or drops, is that position still ideal?

What profile bars did you end up putting on at the end. I have a set of bontrager bars that are more of an S bend and i like the more of a L bend for comfort.

It's the bike geometry that's all wrong
