Trump says 'open borders means people drowning in rivers'

U.S. President Donald Trump commented Wednesday, June 26, on the photo of a migrant father and child who died in the Rio Grande, slamming current laws and saying "open borders means people drowning in rivers."

The photo has caused outrage around the world, with Pope Francis, politicians and human rights groups calling for change.

Trump also commented on special counsel Robert Mueller testifying, but would not say if he would try to block the testimony before two House committees.

The Rio Grande is a RIVER not a creek.  The parents were irresponsible to put the life of their child in danger and cause her death.  If they had stayed in their own country, the father and the child would still be alive.
