The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor measures the air coming into your fuel injected engine to determine how much fuel to add to get the right mix. A failing or failed sensor will contribute to rough or inefficient running engines. It will likely also trigger a check engine light. Replacing a failed sensor should be a priority. This video shows you how to install a new MAP sensor from TRQ that is designed to perfectly fit your 1992-2000 Chevy Tahoe.
This repair was done on a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 5.7L and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
1995 Chevrolet Tahoe
1996 Chevrolet Tahoe
1997 Chevrolet Tahoe
1998 Chevrolet Tahoe
1999 Chevrolet Tahoe
2000 Chevrolet Tahoe
Tools you will need:
• Socket Driver
• Engine Oil
