The TRUTH About Dividends (and Life)

In a world filled with many lies, I believe that dividend stock investing is a truth investors can rely upon (when done via high-quality companies in a broadly-diversified portfolio). Today's video shares my personal experiences in life. Learn why I believe that dividend investing is one of the only ways that the average person can build long-term, lasting value in life (which I believe is a key to happiness).

I just pretend that I'm getting a raise every year without doing any extra work. My payouts increase each year, along with capital appreciation. Bonus is not having to deal with Tenants/employees/etc. that would come with a new job or real estate!

Our boss/ ceo, just froze our pension in January four days before he announced his retirement. He had a nice 28.6 million dollar pension coming. So no, they do not have your best interest at all. Cooperate greed is all it’s about anymore from the top down.

This is great advice. I worked in manufacturing. The company would allocate $20k-$500k in technology and projects. So many of these investments stop saving money after 2-5 years. Why? Many reasons that are out of your control. The assets depreciate in value, the assets are not maintained, knowledge is lost, business changes, etc other various reasons. You sell your soul for that which becomes nothing after even only a few years. You need to take it upon yourself to convert it to long lasting value (your relationships/network, your personal assets such as house/401k/savings, your family growth). The worst you can do is put it all that effort at work, and walk away with zero advancement in your long lasting value.

We are all bombarded with all lies around us, sometimes it’s just difficult to see what a lie and what’s reality.

"Dividends are Truth in a world of Lies" I think that should be the title of your yet to be written best selling book! As someone who never worked in corporate America, I feel part of the companies I own without all of the office politics or commute. Great video as always!

💯 We are told so many lies, but there is still reason for optimism since we have never had more access to information than ever before.

When I began investing in 2009, my only resources were CNBC and Jim Cramer. Today, there are videos like yours that have taught me a great deal about dividend investing for which I'm deeply grateful.

One of the big lies we grow up with is that you will need to work until you're 65 before you retire. With dividend investing, delayed gratification, and sacrifice, I believe one can retire much sooner if they please.
