He's literally the only person that was actually able to scare Kris

I like how this sounds like a keygen track you'd hear on a pirated game installer, it really fits Spamton being the "questionable, shady dealer" type.

Toby Fox literally never misses when it comes to making iconic characters. An embodiment of spam, one of the most annoying things on the Internet? Why not make his story an emotionally devastating story of ambition gone wrong, which also perfectly parallels Kris' inner struggle? AND IT HOW DOES HE DO IT

The weirdest, most confusing character yet, and that’s coming from the franchise with Sans, Flowey, and Jevil.

Piracy is bad and all, but if a cracked version of the full version of deltarune ever releases, this better be the setup music

It's so weird but fitting to his character that the secret boss in this chapter is someone who comes out of a random dumpster without provocation to babble unsettlingly at you & attack you & you literally can't avoid the first fight with him.

It's as if a character who's not supposed to be involved in the story just forced his way into it. Even in the snowgrave run where he's the final boss, he has nothing to actually do with the overall premise of the chapter or the game. He just sees that you're taking things off the rails & encourages you to keep doing it because it coincidentally benefits him. I don't even know if the queen knows he exists.

You don't know how hard it is to find this track without encountering Spamton's battle theme

I love how Spamton’s music uses both the big shot samples and Earthbound samples. He definitely fits an EB-ish vibe, however his design reminds me more of the Nightmare Enterprise Salesman from the Kirby Right Back at Ya! anime

in the first meeting, when Spamton makes a deal for Kris's soul, Kris takes a step back

yeah, even Kris is not comfortable with this guy.

I find it funny that Spamton was made intentionally to be hated. But literally almost everyone loves him.

My favourite enemy so far, love him so much.

If you slow this down a lot, lower the pitch and exclude the lines, you get "Call for Help" which is Spamton NEO's theme after he increases his defense a lot.
And if you slow THAT down, you get the Snowgrave mansion's theme.

who would've thought that a short, robot salesman would end up being the most terrifying thing so far in this game?

edit: ALRIGHT HES A PUPPET, I GET IT

Everyone's talking about Spamton's fight themes, and while they are great, this one is legitimately a jam though. So many people overlook this one.

Spamton's situation reflects similarly to Kris's, mainly in how it's set up. Spamton's stuck unable to break his "strings" controlling him. In the NEO battle, when all of them are snapped, he drops to the ground, unable to do anything without them. Kris, of course, is aware what it's like to be without those "strings". During the times where the soul is forcibly removed instead of simply focusing away from them, Kris struggles to simply move around. The only reason they can do anything at all is because they originally didn't _have_ those strings. But one day, they woke up with them, unable to move without this unseen being's command. No matter what Kris wants, they'll do what the being wants, even if it includes pushing their closest friend to become a heartless killer.
