It’s safe to say they both died there. A literal cliff hanger where both characters created to simply fill a hole in the timeline go to rest

I still respect Adler, one of the best characters in the franchise. He was just following orders. Funny how so many COD players got butthurt over this but don't think twice about mowing down hundreds of enemy soldiers or blowing entire villages to shreds in an AC130. War is an ugly business and Cold War's narrative is brilliant by showing that you're not always going to save the day or have an epic final battle with the antagonist. Bell doesn't even get a glorious death like some of the other COD protags. In the end, someone has to get screwed and make the necessary sacrifice whether they're willing or not.

I'm still confused why people thought this wasn't the true ending to the campaign, their reasoning was that no mp maps were in Europe when literally checkmate is in Germany I'm pretty sure and Moscow is self explanatory, one of the best cod campaigns to date still in my opinion felt like I was back in 2014 playing offline on the campaign of bo2 doing all the little secrets and stuff
