There is a large body of evidence that I.Q. is not just how well you do on a particular test. You may want to avoid the appearance of immodesty, but I.Q. does accurately and consistently predict a number of important life outcomes.

Congratulations on getting in! Did it say what the standard deviation was? Because 148 does not always mean 148. If the standard deviation is 15, then getting above 130 already puts you in the top 2%. An IQ test cannot measure much higher than that - if you take the Mensa online test, it can only show you a maximum of 135 IQ, and the SD (standard deviation) is 15.

I am not 100% sure how the calculation works, because I don't know statistics (someone care to explain?), but if the SD was 15, your IQ would be calculated differently.

I don't want to make your result look like less than it is, it is a great result! I just know that some people will look at your result and then their own, and then feel bad about themselves. So, if you take anything away from this comment: Bear in mind that IQs are calculated differently. The most common way is with a SD of 15, and then 100 is the average, 116-129 is superior intelligence, and 130+ is gifted.

The thing about IQ is that the scores you will get across multiple tests are correlated and your IQ results are correlated with your general cognitive ability, so even though talking about an specific score could be dumb It’s pretty useful as an estimation or a range of your intellectual ability.

I know It’s hard to say some people isn’t smart but that’s the truth.

Amazing! Both of you have genius level IQ. I want the hoody, that and I scored 133 on an online IQ test and it made me wonder. I’m trying in November, I hope I get in, I feel like you have to earn the hoody. 😉

On my mensa Quick online IQ Test they produced said After I was done with the test it said You're IQ Lies outside the area the test Is able to measure. We are hoping to extend this area as soon as we have gather more data. So either way I'm Off the charts Just go to bed I'm not sure yet😅🤣
