I think you can also remove the effect from melissa's skill 2, you have to be outside the default area though otherwise it just instantly reactivates.

Ive never actually tried it but Wanwan's skill 2 removes it so i assume purify does too

Anothee tip: when using purify against barats click it as fast as you can
Because if you are in it's stomach, it becomes suppress (meaning you can't purify it)
