The Miner's Lamp Award Dinner 2019

One in five Canadians will experience mental illness in their lifetime. As seven in 10 people will encounter their first symptoms between ages 16 and 24, research into the causes of mental illness in young people remains essential.

The Miner’s Lamp Award Campaign has paved the way for new research in this area since 2016, thanks to a partnership between IAMGOLD Corporation, the University of Toronto Department of Psychiatry, and generous funding from diverse organizations and individuals. IAMGOLD is proud to have hosted The Miner's Lamp Award for four years. With outstanding support from our generous sponsors, we raised $2.7 million for mental health research.
