Still have mine and use it! Remember to empty the spent fuel slurry right away after it cools down. It is quite caustic and will attack the brass over time.

My granddad on my dad's side, had a motorcycle with carbide lights - front and rear. I saw pictures of the bike, but don't remember seeing it in real life. Apparently, he was still riding with carbide lights at least into the 1950s!
