The Logitech MX Vertical is an interesting mouse that puts ergonomics over some functionality. But is it any good or are there too many sacrifices?

I just don't understand how it's like $100! It's just a different shell shape!

Disappointed cause I wanted to replace my MX Master with this.... But it also has less features than the MX Master to make it worse.

Vertical mice literally changed my life. Wrist strain is almost non existent an the learning curve on how to use one is not that long. It's basically second nature now. When I would edit on a traditional mouse for long hours, I would get hand cramps and wrist strain all the time. Highly recommend vertical mice.

The anker ergonomic mouse from amazon is amazing. Better than a $100 mouse i used to have, go try that one everyone...it is only $20! You are welcome.

"Laws of physics" don't work this way my friend, it works completely opposite! For any wheel with evenly distributes weights, it will rotate same way regardless of which angle you put it in. If the wheel is of low quality with obviously unevenly distributed weight, say part of it is a lot heavier, the best way to keep it rotate in constant speed is to put it horizontal(make its axis pointing to the earth). The worst way is to put it vertical, like they way it's in Mx master mouse, in that case you will observe periodical speed change in each rotation, and the wheel will always stop at same location. Given the MX Vertical's wheel which is more horizontal than the master, it is actually better for rotation in terms of how they are positioned, because of the law of physics :)

You guys straight up have the BEST VIDEO INTRODUCTION FOR THE PRODUCTS IN STARTING OF THE VIDEO. And I love it. Gives such a cinematic profile to the video. Keep up the good work.

It looks super comfortable, makes my wrist feel better just looking at it.

Used vertical mice before, tried most of what was available two-three years ago from the cheaper options.
This is definitely a cheap move from logitech. Instead of adding all that you mention like the extra scroll, buttons, or even side customising options (to adjust for different hand shape/size), they just made the most basic version they can, and priced it way too high.
Sorry, for that amount, there are Evoluent who have more experience in ergonomics.
Hope Logitech gets it together for a v2 (love most of their products, just not this one).

I broke my wrist 8 weeks ago. I have always used the Apple Magic Mouse but in this case, I had to change. I bought 3 mice (Vertical, Ergo Plus & Master 3) and have spent a few days testing all 3. I really liked all of them but the Ergo Plus added more stress to my hand and wrist after the surgery. I liked the Master 3 but the two flywheel's drove me crazy. But it moved great across surfaces. In the end I had to keep the Vertical because it honestly put the least amount of stress on my hand and wrist. I would say that if you have hand problems you have to spend time with all of them just to see what will work best.

Hm, what "laws of physics"? I'm sorry but I fail to see any problem with a "hyper" scroll wheel spinning at an angle... Just Logitech being cheap.
Overall, it's really a disappointment. For the price the MX Vertical should have been built identically to the MX Master 2S and had similar features, mainly the hyper scroll.

I’ve started developing wrist problems and this mouse definitely helps. Super light weight and you’ll get used to it in a few minutes. I do wish it had the hyper scroll though. I do think it is expensive for what you get. I paid the higher price over other brands because I trust Logitech.

They should put more macro keys on it, considering how many more surface than other normal mouse. If so, it would a excellent replacement of g602.

Feels like they should have the scroll wheel on the thumb, and be a primary wheel too. You could definitely have the infinite scrolling feature there too…

I love this mouse and have been using it for 5 years now with no problem in the mouse or my wrist!

Best designed ERGO mouse ever from logitech!

What are you talking about? The free-wheeling scroll wheel works great in any orientation and even if not, if they wanted they could easily make it work regardless. Did you ever let it spin on the MX Master and turn the mouse? I just did and it works without an issue. This is not a heavy machine :'D

Why couldn't they put the HERO sensor in this, from the G305 and G603? Since the laser sensor isn't Darkfield, it cannot track on glass, which puts it in the same boat as the G series mice.

I have an ancient Logitech hyperscrolling enabled mouse that was on the cheap side back then, and I can give the wheel a spin in pretty much any mouse orientation, so that's definitely not an issue.
Furthermore, I think every mouse manufacturer should contemplate making mice with this kind of a scrolling wheel mechanism. It's super convenient.

Yeah, I need more buttons. Make a vertical ergonomic MMO gaming mouse and both gamers and professionals will buy it. I don't understand why companies split up possible clientele who have shared needs.

I bought one but ended up returning it because my hand kept sliding down, despite the grippy-ish surface, so I would constantly have to lift it back up- otherwise my finger would not reach the button. I also knocked it down a few times as I was not used to having such a tall mouse whenever I was reaching for it. I really wanted to like it but it just didn't work. Ended up buying Logitech MX Master 2S and it is so much more comfortable.

This'd be a godsend for CTS affected users but would be horrible for gaming.
