It also does not help that the bigger athletes had the money to afford off site hotels and the IOC made a new rule that you could not utilize the warm up track unless you stayed in the village. Having high level athletes sprint without proper warm ups is crazy irresponsible of the IOC. Words can't even describe how that decision highlighted the IOC's lack of care for the athletes.

It's always risky when you try to participate in all the competitions and diamond leagues. Sometimes you've got to choose your competitions and skip the little ones above all when a major competition in on the way. That's exactly what did Noah Lyles and Shackary Richardson. They preserved themselves which helped them stay fit and ready for the biggest event which is the Olympics. Sometimes you've got to be smart because the human body is no machine. You need to rest and make sure you will shine and stay fit everytime you show up.
