Literally the saddest part of sports this year for me. She WOULD HAVE medaled. Making it 5 straight games with medals. Such a shame.

I was STUNNED to see ShellyAnn's lane empty. It's an unfortunate end to her amazing career, but she knows her body. Shelly-Ann's legendary status remains intact for me!! I hope she heals and spends precious time with her family now❤️

Hard to believe that we didn't see Elaine, Shericka or Shelly-Anne even compete in the semi-finals of the 100 metres.

The increase in injuries over the last two years are accumulated wear and tear and a sign age is catching up.
It was a pity she had to withdraw but she has nothing to prove... the best female sprinter we have ever seen.

We also have to be clear that Alfred ran a spectacular race and completely deserving of her gold medal

Shelly Ann is simply the most dominant sprinter of all time. I am sad she didn't run one last Olympic finals race but nothing for her to prove She's the G.O.A.T.

A lot of people think because you can sprint at 70% effort, that you should be able to sprint at 90% effort. Both are worlds different.

Tragic outcome but she will forever remain one of the greatest of all time 🏅

Really sad. This marks the end of an era.

Making a 37 year old veteran change up the routine and rush the warm up routine is basically the perfect formula for an injury no?

This is so sad, I wanted to see her and Richardson go head to head, would have been epic

Beautiful presentation. Insightful looks at a potential winner of the Men's 100 and the clarification on Shell-Ann's no show for the semi was great. It was clean and unbiased making the viewing that more enjoyable. Thanks for the great work done and will check out for more of your uploads.

Congratulations Julien Alfred. I called it. Peope were sleeping on Alfred. She paid 7-1 odds. After her 200m against Thomas, she displayed great form but just came up short and didn't have the steam to finish in 1st place. It made me think she would have plenty of pace in the 100m. Alfred will medal in the 200m and will be the future double champion imo.

The stress and strain on your body must be enormous when competing at highest levels. Respect to the medical people who keep these guys going at that level despite injury.
