You know, something I always found funny about this movie was the fact that Evie and Mal had _completely_ different responses to meeting their parents' enemies. When Evie meets one of the seven Dwarves' sons, her immediate response is to deescalate the situation by flirting with him, and he ends up not only becoming her boyfriend but also ends up helping her start a successful business in the sequel. Meanwhile, when Mal meets Aurora's daughter, her first instinct is to belittle her and then steal her boyfriend. In short, Evie's first instinct is to smooth things over, while Mal's first instinct is to start a fight.

Disclaimer: This isn't meant as hate towards Mal, I've always liked her, I just like analyzing the differences between various character's approach to conflict. Honestly, I think Mal's approach to conflict is completely understandable, given her background.
