sir, for the n=k+1 step, could i still just plug n as k+1, and would it work? Also sir, are there any exceptions to the f(k+1) - f(k) rule. Can i use it for all types of proof by induction questions?

i dont understand when you say you do the f(k+1) - f(k) to only make the algebra easier? so how would you do it without?
