What I love about this type of throwing is it can be done from a neutral position with very little telegraphing. You can pull the knife from its sheath or your pocket and throw it immediately without moving into any stance or having any windup. I find myself coming to this type of throw when I'm physically exhausted from all the other throwing methods which shows just how little strain it puts on the body too.

I've been throwing knives since I was about 12 and I only throw no spin but I use the grip that you demonstrated in the beginning with my finger extended. I'm going out tonight to try to learn that hammer grip. I do throw like a baseball pitcher though however it's been very effective for me.

That underhanded no spin throw was the 1st no spin I was able to figure out kinda by accident. I was always under the impression that no spin throwing was impossible. Stuff of Hollywood. But i was able to figure it out after accidentally hitting it then missing for several months until I was able to get the technique. All forms of throwing require many hours of practice. Its what I tell people trying to learn. Great stuff!

One important thing is making sure you have something to throw at lol.
Im new to this and bought some new throwing knives from THRW CLUB man theses things are mean looking can't wait to get going.
