I agree, I don't understand why folks were mad. Saturn, almost 30 chapters ago or more, blatantly said Bonney didn't reach the distorted future because she didn't make the connection between Nika and Luffy. Now, after seeing Kuma's memories and G5 Luffy, she made the connection. The minute Bonney used a Nika like distorted future in the flashback, we should have known it would happen.

Ok, I have a theory on Bonney's fruit. But let me recap how Vegapunk described devil fruits - in short, he defined devil fruits essentially as the manifestation of human desire, and whoever eats that fruit gets to live out that desire or "distorted" reality of that fruit, essentially the one of who eats that fruits get to live the desired reality of another. So, what if, Bonney's fruit was not just any fruit, But the first devil fruit? Because, let's see it this way, Bonney has the capability of aging and de-aging people and altering or distorting her own future. So what if, Bonney is not aging or de-aging people, but rather distorting their futures, which makes them young or old. If that is the case, Bonney's DF essentially has the capability of manifesting any human desire, future, or reality. So, she can if she wants to distort her future to get the glint-glint fruit or any other future. Hell, she could distort her reality to get the haki of Roger. Or, the better alternative, distort someone else's future to give them supernatural powers. If this is how her fruit works, then she is the living manifestation of THE DEVIL FRUIT, AKA, THE VERY FIRST FRUIT. A FRUIT THAT WAS CREATED TO MANIFEST HUMAN DESIRES.
